TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions apply to all guests staying at Globetrotter Inns Ltd.
Please make yourselves familiar with our standard Terms and Conditions which are
clearly laid out below. They are the general small hotels industry standard
conditions, and are applicable to all parties wishing to stay at Globetrotter Inns Ltd.
RESERVATION POLICY
In order to make a reservation a 20% advanced deposit is required.
Advanced deposits can be paid via Direct Bank Transfer, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro
or Cheque. All cheques should be made payable to Globetrotter Inns Ltd. Please
notify staff if you require our bank account details for a direct transfer. Globetrotter
Inns do not accept Diners cards or American Express.
CANCELLATION POLICY
OUR CANCELLATION POLICY requires at least 3 days written notice of cancellation
prior to your arrival date.
(1) For cancellations made more than 3 days prior to the arrival date (at 10 am)
there will be no charge, however the deposit will be forfeited.
(2) If you fail to arrive, cancel within 3 days of the arrival date or fail to take up
your reserved accommodation for whatever reason, you will be liable for 1 night’s
accommodation for each member booked into the Globetrotter Inn. This charge will
be on top of the advanced deposit paid.
(3) Changes to numbers in groups will be accepted up until 2 weeks prior to the
arrival date with no charge.
If you are forced to cancel your booking or amend numbers please write, e-mail or
call us immediately. By giving us your credit card details you are authorising us to
use this as security for your reservation and your accommodation. Any unpaid
cancellation charges, unregistered extra guests or damages and removals (of keys,
smart cards, linen or fixtures and fittings) will be charged to your credit card.
GROUP PAYMENT POLICY
A Group is considered to be any party of 8 people or more. Group Leaders are
expected to take full responsibility for their group during their stay at Globetrotter Inns.
Globetrotter Inns requires full payment for a group’s total accommodation 4 weeks
prior to the arrival date. Please liaise with our Groups Manager to arrange payment
of your accommodation total. Globetrotter Inns also requests that where possible a
group room listing be provided at this time.
ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES
Our check-in time is 2pm and our check-out time is 10am. Guests are expected to
leave their room in a reasonable state and if not may be charged an extra cleaning
fee as deemed appropriate by management. Late check-outs may be available upon
prior arrangement; please liaise with the Management team to discuss this option. A
£10.00 fee may be applied for a guest checking out after 10am who has not made
prior arrangement to do so.
Arrivals/Departures by COACH (London only)
Please note that all coaches arriving or departing from London are advised to drop
off/pick up from GOLD HAWK RD. Due to council regulations, NO coaches are allowed to travel down Ravenscourt Gardens. Earls Court is the closest coach park from the London
hostel. Please contact our group reservationist for further details and maps.
STRICTLY NO SMOKING POLICY FOR ALL ROOMS
Globetrotter Inns has a strict no-smoking policy. It is ILLEGAL to smoke anywhere in the building. Management reserves the right to impose a
maximum fine of £50.00 for non-compliance. Your credit card will be charged
accordingly if you or anyone in your party smokes in your room.
GUEST BEHAVIOUR
It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that his/her behaviour does not
detrimentally affect the comfort or safety of other guests or visitors in the building.
Management has the right to eject guests from the building if it is deemed that their
behaviour is inappropriate and any accommodation charges previously levied will not
be refunded.
U16 POLICY
Please Note guests under the age of 16 wishing to stay at The Globetrotter Inn, may
only do so if accompanied by a responsible adult (over 18 years of age) and if they
are booked into a private room (within their group).
Whilst on site, guests under the age of 18 will not be permitted to buy or consume
alcohol.
Proof of age identification may be required for guests wishing to buy or consume
alcohol on site at The Globetrotter Inn.
GLOBETROTTER PROPERTY
On check in all guests will be given linen and keys/smart cards. These items are the
property of The Globetrotter Inn Edinburgh Ltd and are to be returned on check out.
If any item is lost or damaged a charge of £5 for a room key, £5 for a locker key
(Edinburgh only) £10 for the linen and £5 for the smart card (Edinburgh only) will be
charged to the credit card of the individual concerned, or if appropriate, the Group
Leader.
PERSONAL PROPERTY
Globetrotter Inns Ltd. does not accept liability for the death, sickness or injury to any
guest or for the loss, theft or damage to any guest property however sustained or
caused. It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that their belongings are
secure at all times.
BY MAKING A RESERVATION AND OR CHECKING INTO OUR PREMISES YOU ARE
AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
